Why is it difficult to bend motorcycle tubing?
Motorcycle pipe fittings with small diameters and many bends are prone to appearance defects such as pipe wall wrinkling, scratches, flattening and deformation during production. The defects will become more prominent after the finished product is polished and sprayed.
During the processing of pipe fittings, springback will cause size deviation and asymmetry of the left and right pipe fittings. The bending parameters are all controlled by master craftsmen, and the process cannot be standardized. The dimensional stability of mass production is poor, and rework losses continue to increase.

Symmetrical parts always assemble inconsistently. What’s the problem?
Common reasons are insufficient springback compensation, inconsistent positioning benchmarks, or non-solidified change parameters. Using reusable programs and standardized calibration processes can significantly improve the consistency of left and right parts and the stability of order returns.
What should I do if there are indentations/scratches on the back surface of the bent pipe?
The focus is on clamping and mold surface treatment, cleaning and lubrication control. For appearance parts, priority should be given to tooling solutions based on the idea of ”surface protection” rather than simply increasing the clamping force.
Can the pipe bending process be matched with pipe cutting and chamfering?
Can. Cutting the pipe to a fixed length, chamfering and deburring it before bending the pipe can significantly reduce bending deviation and welding assembly problems, and the entire line rhythm can be better planned.
